After an opening round loss and waiting around to see if he’d even get a second match, senior heavyweight Edwin Santiago won three straight consolation matches before losing to take 4th place at State.  Senior Ryan Mullennex was seeded second at 160 lbs but after an overtime loss in the quarterfinals, Mullennex needed to overcome a knee injury to battle back for a 6th place finish.  Junior Felipe Ramirez made it to Day 2 but fell one match short of placing, while senior Isaac Van Thomme’s season came to an end on the first day.
