Offseason wrestling opportunities

We are excited to announce multiple opportunities for our youth and high school wrestlers this offseason! Please use these great opportunities to advance your skill this offseason. Champions are built in the offseason! If you’re not improving this offseason, your competition is!

Faribault Speed and Strength Training

Available for students going into 6-12th grade from June-August at the Senior High School. Use https://faribault.feepay.com to register.

Summer Wrestling Camp I in Connection with Thorn Wrestling

Available for all Faribault wrestlers (K-12th Grade) and surrounding communities. Camp will take place at the Faribault High School.

* June 3, 10, 12, 24, 26
* July 10, 15, 22, 31 plus makeup date on July 17 (one combined session from 6:30-8:00 on July 15, 17, 22, and 31)

* 6:00-7:00 pm (Youth K-5)

* 7:15-8:30 pm (6-12th Grade)

* Cost $135 for the 9 dates

Augsburg Team Camp

Available for Faribault wrestlers going into 6-12th grade. Camp will take place at Augsburg University.

*Sunday, June 16-Thursday, June 20

* Need Confirmation from each Individual by Friday, May 31st

* Depart FHS on June 16 at noon

* Depart Augsburg University on June 20 at 11:00am

* Cost $350

Available for Faribault wrestling going into K-12th grade. Camp will take place at Faribault High School.

7-8th Grade Team wins State Pool

The 7-8th Grade Team advanced to NYWA State out of Sections after being unseeded. The team then went 3-2 at State to win the Pool 6 bracket.

School closed 2/7; Youth and Varsity practices are cancelled

NO practices for both Youth and Varsity on Thursday, 2/7.

Also, the Varsity dual against Owatonna has been rescheduled to Friday, 2/8, with a 4:00 start for both JV and Varsity in the North gym. Youth Green Machine will practice on Friday from 6:00-7:30 after the Faribault-Owatonna varsity dual.

Green Machine back again to NYWA Team State; wins Pool 6!!!

After a two-year break, the Green Machine is back again in the NYWA Team State after a 7th Place finish at the Region tournament in Eyota. At NYWA State, the Green Machine started with a 1-2 record in Saturday’s bracket play but finished with the Pool 6 team title with a 2-0 record defeating GMLOS 47-27 and Adrian 45-26. Great season Green Machine!!!

Youth sends 12 to MN/USA State and 3 to NYWA State!!!

The Green Machine qualified 12 individuals at the MN/USA State tournament and there were 3 qualifying for the NYWA State!

At the March 9-11 MN/USA, and after sending 7 into Sunday’s competition (club record), there were 3 individuals reaching the podium with four others just a match away. The 39 combined wins for the three days was also a program record. Bo Bokman won his bracket to become 3x MN/USA state champion. Trevor Holmberg and Aiden Tobin both finished in 3rd Place with records of 7-1 and 6-1 records, respectively.

Advancing to NYWA State on April 6-8 were Bo Bokman, Joey Steinberg, and JT Hausen. Bokman and Hausen kicked off the state tournament on Friday both reaching the podium in 4th Place.
