Sophomore JT Hausen ’24 went over 100 career wins on March 4th at the Minnesota State Tournament. The following day, Hausen capped off his milestone with a 3rd Place finish in the 120-pound bracket. In the 3rd Place match, Hausen won by fall in overtime over Forest Lake’s Jacob Aho. Congrats JT!!!
Hausen has been wrestling on varsity since 7th Grade for the Falcons, and wrestled for the Faribault Green Machine youth program since Pre-K. Hausen is a captain for the 2021-22 team and state entrant in the 2021 state tournament.

Senior Aiden Tobin ’22 reached the 100 career win mark with two wins on February 4th against Rochester Mayo and Grand Meadow (GMLOS). Tobin wrestled in the Faribault Green Machine traveling youth program since Kindergarten. He has been in the varsity starting line-up since 7th grade at 106 pounds for the Falcons, and currently wrestling at 152-160 lbs. He is also a two-time captain and two-time Big 9 All-Conference for the Falcons. Congrats Aiden!!!

Ninth-grader JT Hausen advanced to the State Tournament held at St. Michael-Albertville High School on March 26-28. To advance to the State Tournament, Hausen first took 2nd place in the 113-lb bracket at the Section 1AAA-2AAA State Preliminary tournament. Four other Falcons advanced to the State Preliminary held at New Prague on March 20 (Bo Bokman, Elliott Viland, Gael Ramirez, and George Soto). All four won matches to place in the top 6 of their respective brackets.

The Falcons claimed a share of the Big 9 conference championship after its 9-1 record during the 2020-21 conference season. It was the 14th conference title for the Falcons and its first since 1995.

Senior Gael Ramirez topped the 100-win plateau in the 2020-21 season! Gael, along with brother Felipe, become only the second brother combo to top 100 career wins for the Falcons. Congrats Gael!

Senior Josh Oathoudt and Dylan Lippert advanced to the MSHSL State championships. Oathoudt won the Section 1AAA 170-pound title while Lippert finished 2nd at 195 pounds. At State, Oathoudt finished All-State status with a 3rd Place finish going 4-1. Lippert also with a strong finish to his career going 2-2. Congrats Josh and Dylan!

In addition to the 7-8th Grade team wrestling at NYWA State this weekend, the Green Machine will have four individuals wrestling in the 7-8th state tournament and three more in the K-6th state tournament. Bo Bokman and Charlie Chambers advanced to NYWA State with first-place finishes at NYWA Regions, while Riley Stoltz, JT Hausen, and Elliott Viland advanced with second-place finishes. Madden Paul and Will Erickson advance with third-place finishes. Also wrestling this weekend at the NYWA Invite tournament by placing 4-6th place at NYWA Regions are Jayden Jirele, Logan Vargo, Trevor Holmberg, Cole Redding, Aiden Tobin, Bryce Nolen, Dylan Lippert, and Alex Hoy. The 7-8th Grade Team will wrestle on Thursday and Friday afternoon.
