Green Machine started the day 3-0 to win their pool with wins over New Prague (58-55), Minnetonka (79-36), and St. Charles (61-42). In the championship, they jumped out to a 40-15 lead to powerhouse Lakeville, but eventually lost the dual 68-40. The wrestlers going 4-0 on the day were Nathan Pientka, Aiden Tobin, Hunter Nelson, and Matthew Nelson. Charlie Chambers, Ethan Erickson, and Brody Redding each had 3 wins. The Green Machine wrestled in three individual tournaments at JWP, Kenyon, and TCU-Montgomery. They brought home 32 champions and 15 second-place finishes. In addition, they took home the 1st place team trophy at the TCU-Montgomery tournament due to all the individual wins. The Green Machine won the Northfield Team Tournament on January 19 with a 3-0 record on the day. They opened the tournament with a win over Rosemount by the score of 56-29, then avenged a loss to Northfield earlier in the season with a 42-26 win, and ended the day with a defeat of Triton by a 53-26 margin. The Green Machine took home the runner-up trophy at the Medford Team Tournament on January 12 with a 2-1 record. The Green Machine started out the tourney with a 68-54 loss to LeCenter, but then finished with wins over Medford (84-30) and Owatonna (87-22). Bo Bokman, Elliot Viland, David Tonjum and Cole Redding each finished with 3-0 records and all by fall. Also finishing the day 3-0 were Timmy Leider, Sam Lacanne, and Charlie Chambers. Owen Farmer and Brody Redding were both 2-0. Jaythn Hausen, Hunter Conrad, Nathan Pientka, Riley Stoltz, and Dylan Lippert all finished with a 2-1 record.

The Green Machine Youth Wrestling team placed 3rd at the Cannon Falls Team Tournament this past Sunday with a 3-2 record despite forfeiting two weights each dual. The two losses were in a heartbreaking 40-37 dual to eventual-champion Northfield and a 39-39 tie to Bloomington but lost on the 8th tiebreaker criteria. The three wins came over Cannon Falls (61-24), Triton (62-18), and Richfield (55-36). Nathan Pientka, Riley Reistad, Josh Outhoudt, and Owen Farmer were all 5-0. David Tonjum and Cal Schultz were also undefeated at heavyweight. Tar Tut and Ethan Erickson had four wins each, while Andrew Flicek, Brady Racine, and Aiden Tobin each had three wins on the day. With a record 11 wrestlers advancing to NYWA State, the Green Machine came back with a club record 7 place-winners! Dillon Schrot advanced to the title match with three wins, and came away with second place. Meanwhile, five others placed fifth (Hunter Nelson, Dylan Lippert, Charlie Chambers, David Tonjum, Levi Kuschel) and Ryan Mullennex placed sixth on Friday evening in the 7/8th Grade State Tournament. Other wrestlers advancing to State were Jathyn Hausen, Aiden Tobin, Brandon Knott, and Cy Kuschel. The Green Machine also had three wrestlers (Landon Hatfield, Riley Stoltz, and Tar Tut) participating in the Invite Tournament also held in Rochester.
