What a difference one week can make! A week after dropping two duals to Owatonna and Farmington by a combined score of 91-37, the Falcons sent Owatonna packing 35-25 in the semifinals of the Section 1AAA team tournament in Rochester. It was the first win over Owatonna in the past 19 years, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The win put the Falcons into the finals against Farmington, ranked #5 in the State. And the Falcons put a scare into Farmington this time around before falling short 38-30. The Falcons took the lead 27-23 after a pin from fired-up senior Ike Van Thomme. Next up for the Falcons will be Individual Sections this Friday and Saturday at the Rochester Civic Center.
